I tried to get my 82 year old mother”s bank statements. She has terminal brain cancer and cannot speak. I’m her POA and we moved her from Texas to Iowa for radiation and chemo treatments as she was advised by her Dr she could no longer drive or live alone. I called Vantage bank and the customer service person said we needed the account number or debit card number. I said we had those shredded last month when we moved her. He said I could go online , ask my request, attach a real time signature and there would be a research fee etc. He also said we would have to scan in the signature page and he went on and on about a laundry list of things we would have to do! She has banked there for over a decade and now they won’t use our social #”s, phone etc DOB.. Then he has the audacity to say he wasn’t trying to make this difficult. I’m 51, Mom is 82 and we need paper statements. We aren’t very good at computer stuff. Vantage bank should be more aware of the needs of older people who don’t know how to use technology. Very disappointing and now my Mother will not be getting her money which is paid out in a large lump sum quarterly. Mind you it’s been about 30 days since we closed it. Very disappointing!!!!!

We recently visited Vantage bank for a business transaction and our experience was wonderful! We felt as if the red carpet had been rolled out for us! The branch manager, Araceli Mendiola, took time to sit down with us and assist with our questions. Most importantly she was extremely knowledgeable which was comforting. She was also professional, warm, and friendly. I would highly recommend if you’re searching for a bank to consider Vantage bank. Their customer service is outstanding, and they make you feel as if you’re family!
