Our closing was delayed because First Texas decided to switch to a new computer system the week of our closing—without notifying us or our realtor. We only found out when WE called to confirm they received a document and they casually mentioned that we could no longer close on our scheduled day. We had already scheduled our movers for the day before closing and reserved and paid for an Airbnb that we would need to stay in to make sure the new buyers could move in. The only acknowledgement that was made that closing would be moved that week was in a fb post that I went and searched after the fact. Proper rescheduling should have involved calling any scheduled appointments way ahead of time for notice of the changes. Even with extra time due to prior delays, they requested documents from us very last-minute and didn’t confirm a closing time until the day of closing. Poor communication and last-minute chaos made an already stressful process even worse. We cannot recommend them.
